Long Island Iced Tea
The modern LIIT is credited to Robert Butt in the 1970s at the Oak Beach Inn on Long Island. The goal was a drink that looked like iced tea, neutral color, and from standard bar inventory.
Ingredients
- 1/2 oz Beluga Export Vodka
- 1/2 oz Tanqueray London Dry Gin
- 1/2 oz Bacardi Superior White Rum
- 1/2 oz G4 Blanco Premium Tequila
- 1/2 oz Cointreau
- 3/4 oz Lemon Juice
- 1/2 oz Simple Syrup 1:1
- 2 oz Coke Zero
Method
Combine all ingredients except Cola in shaker and give it a medium-hard shake for 10-12 seconds. Strain into a Collins glass filled with ice. Top lightly with Cola and give a gentle lift with a barspoon.
